Covid-19 Iceland

Covid-19 in Iceland

Starting 1 October 2021, all travellers who enter Iceland, and are considered to have close ties within the Icelandic community, will only need to undergo a covid-19 test after arrival in Iceland and don't need to present a negative result prior to boarding. They are not required to quarantine, but are asked to limit their interactions in the first few days after arrival. Anyone intending to work or study in Iceland for more than 7 days is considered to have close ties with the Icelandic community.

We have made special provisions for arriving students, to assist with any issues regarding COVID-19. We will supply you with detailed information upon request.

More official information can be found on the Covid-19 Information Page and has the information in 11 languages. For detailed information on travelling to Iceland, click here.
